FRANCA, Brazil (Interstat) — The top-seeded Franca hosts UNICEUB on Monday, May 18, 2026, at Ginasio Pedro Murilla Fuentes in a matchup of the Brazilian NBB’s elite.

Franca enters with a league-best 42-12 record, while UNICEUB stands at 30-12. The teams have split their two meetings this season: Franca won 92-84 at home on Dec. 27, 2025, and then needed overtime to take a 83-78 victory on the road April 14.

Franca guard Mooch Jackson has been the catalyst during the playoffs, averaging 20 points in the team’s most recent win (Interstat) — a 78-77 nail-biter against Mogi das Cruzes on May 15. In that game, Jackson played 27 minutes, scoring 20 points with five rebounds and three assists. Over his past seven outings, he has posted double-figure scoring four times, including a 23-point, two-rebound performance against Botafogo on April 22.

UNICEUB counter with center Rafael Paulichi, who has been a consistent force. In the team’s 72-69 victory over Flamengo on May 15, Paulichi logged 29 minutes with 18 points, eight rebounds and one assist. The 6-foot-10 big man has scored at least 11 points in five straight playoff games, and in an April 22 win over Caxias Do Sul, he erupted for 26 points, seven rebounds, three assists and one block.

UNICEUB enters having won three of its last four, including a series-clinching win over Flamengo on Friday. Franca also won its last outing but dropped two of its previous three against Mogi das Cruzes.
