BRASÍLIA (Interstat) — UNICEUB defeated Flamengo 72-69 on Friday, May 15, 2026, at Ginasio da ASCEB. The home team led 21-12 after the first quarter and took a 43-34 advantage into halftime. Flamengo rallied in the third quarter, pulling within 57-53, but UNICEUB held on in the fourth.

Rafael Paulichi led UNICEUB with 18 points and eight rebounds. Bruno Cardoso added 15 points and five rebounds. Alex Negrete paced Flamengo with 22 points, seven rebounds and three assists. Facundo Corvalan contributed 12 points and seven assists for the winners.

Flamengo shot 24 of 70 from the floor and 7 of 32 from three-point range. UNICEUB shot 25 of 63 and 8 of 26 from beyond the arc. Both teams converted 14 of 23 free throws. Flamengo outrebounded UNICEUB 45-33 but committed 10 turnovers to the home team’s eight.

The loss dropped Flamengo to 35-21 across all competitions; UNICEUB improved to 30-12.
