GUAYNABO, Puerto Rico (Interstat) — The Tijuana Zonkeys defeated the Guaymas Ostioneros 103-102 on Tuesday night at Gimnasio Municipal Guaymas, improving their CIBACOPA record to 17-18 while sending Guaymas to 14-20.

Primo Spears led Guaymas with 29 points, five assists and two blocks in 32 minutes. Gage Davis added 27 points and six rebounds. Jimond Ivey contributed 17 points, six rebounds and six assists. Jaden Bediako scored 12 points with three rebounds and three blocks. Johnny Hamilton had seven points and four rebounds.

The Zonkeys overcame a late push from the Ostioneros to secure their second straight win over Guaymas, having won 90-78 on Feb. 18. The teams split the season series, with Guaymas winning 91-87 on Feb. 17. Tijuana entered on a two-game losing streak, while Guaymas had split its previous two games. The two sides meet again Wednesday in Guaymas.
