SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic (Interstat) — Corey Boyd recorded a double-double of 18 points and 10 rebounds as the Caneros defeated the Leones 92-69 on Saturday. Caneros shot 35 of 73 from the floor and 10 of 26 from 3-point range while going 12 for 12 at the free-throw line. Leones shot 21 of 68 from the field and 7 of 26 from deep, making all 20 free throws. Marvin Smith scored a game-high 22 points with seven rebounds for Caneros. Eusebio Suero added 12 points, eight rebounds and six assists. Angel Gerardo Suero led Leones with 15 points and six rebounds, and Reggie Quezada scored 19 points. Romaine Thomas contributed 12 points, seven rebounds and four assists. Caneros improved to 4-5 while Leones fell to 2-6. The win avenged an 87-84 loss Thursday.
