SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic (Interstat) — Jhonatan Araujo recorded 15 points, 15 rebounds and six assists to power Titanes past Soles 89-84 on Sunday at Santo Domingo. Titanes improved to 2-4 in all competitions, while Soles fell to 1-3.

Araujo, a 6-9 power forward, added one block in 31 minutes. Romeao Ferguson scored 20 points with five rebounds and four assists. Dana Tate Jr. contributed 17 points and five rebounds. Xavier Reyes added 14 points and four assists. Shaun Williams delivered 11 points and eight assists.

Soles’ Jonathan Bello posted 25 points, eight rebounds and five assists. Jean Quezada finished with 19 points, seven rebounds and two blocks. Terry Larrier had 11 points, six rebounds and two assists.

Titanes shot 36 of 77 from the floor, 7 of 30 from 3-point range and a perfect 10 of 10 from the foul line. Soles shot 27 of 59 overall, 5 of 22 from deep and went 23 of 23 on free throws. Titanes held a 11-3 edge in assists and steals, committed eight turnovers to Soles’ 13, and earned a slight offensive rating advantage at 99.2 to 98.9.
