SÃO PAULO (Interstat) — Jeremy Hollowell scored 22 points and dished eight assists to lead Corinthians to an 84-83 victory over Flamengo on Saturday in a Brazilian NBB game.

Hollowell also grabbed six rebounds and blocked two shots. Andre Bresolin added 20 points for Corinthians, which improved to 20-18. Fabricio Verissimo scored 16 points, and Devon Scott contributed 12 points and eight rebounds.

Flamengo, now 32-18, was led by Kayo Goncalves with 18 points. Gui Deodato had 14 points and six assists, and Alex Negrete scored eight points with six assists.

Corinthians shot 27 of 64 from the field but made 24 of 29 free throws. Flamengo shot 28 of 60 from the floor and hit 15 of 32 three-pointers. However, Flamengo committed 16 turnovers to Corinthians’ nine and allowed 11 offensive rebounds.

The win avenged a 102-72 loss to Flamengo four days earlier. The teams meet again Monday.
