EDMONTON, Alberta (Interstat) — The Saskatoon Mamba visit the Edmonton Stingers on Sunday, June 28, 2026, in a Canadian Elite Basketball League matchup at Edmonton Expo Center. Both teams carry losing records — Saskatoon at 6-6, Edmonton at 6-10 — but the Stingers hold momentum after a 115-108 win Wednesday.

That victory snapped a four-game losing streak for Edmonton and featured forward Nick Hornsby’s 25 points, five rebounds and 11 assists in 36 minutes. Over his past five games, Hornsby has averaged 15.8 points, 5.0 rebounds and 5.2 assists. He followed the win with 15 points, five rebounds and four assists in a loss at Winnipeg on June 20, and has recorded a double-double in two of his last four outings.

For Saskatoon, center Jaden Bediako has been a consistent double-double threat. In the loss, he recorded 16 points and 11 rebounds in 21 minutes, his third double-double in four games. Over his past six outings, the 6-foot-10 big man has posted four double-doubles, including a season-high 26 points and nine rebounds in a 104-77 win at Niagara on June 19, and a 14-point, 12-rebound, three-block performance at Calgary on June 10. Bediako has blocked at least two shots in three of his last five games and leads the Mamba in rebounding. He anchors the frontcourt alongside forwards Tevian Jones and Jaylin Williams; Jones scored 20 points in the June 24 meeting, and Williams added 13 points and five rebounds.

The Mamba have won four of their last five games before Wednesday’s loss, with the only defeat in that stretch coming June 6 at Fraser Valley. Saskatoon has shown resilience on the road, with victories at Ottawa, Niagara and Calgary in recent weeks. The team travels to Winnipeg on Tuesday for a quick turnaround.

Edmonton is 2-6 in its last eight games. In the win over Saskatoon, guard Emmanuel Bandoumel scored 25 points with five assists, and Stanley Davis added 18 points and four rebounds. The Stingers have lost three of four at home this season. They host Calgary on Wednesday, July 1.

Sunday’s game is the second of four scheduled meetings between the teams. Tipoff is scheduled for time TBD.
