KW vs. Windsor
WINDSOR, Ontario (Interstat) — The KW Titans and Windsor Express will meet for the fifth time in less than two weeks Thursday night, with playoff positioning in the Basketball Super League at stake.
The game is scheduled for 7 p.m. at WFCU Centre.
KW (18-9) enters holding the upper hand in the season series, having won three of the four recent matchups, including two decisively. However, Windsor (13-15) snapped that streak with a 109-99 road victory on April 4, injecting new urgency into this final regular-season clash.
Titans guard Antoine Mason has been a central figure in the series. He averaged 17.8 points and 3.8 assists over the four games, though his scoring dipped to 20 points in Saturday’s loss after a 40-point outburst against Lake Erie on March 15. His backcourt partnership with Tarkus Ferguson, who had 21 points in the last meeting, is key for KW’s offense.
The Express counter with forward Khalil Gracey, who posted 24 points and seven rebounds in Windsor’s weekend win. His production often mirrors his team’s success; Windsor is 2-0 this season when Gracey scores 22 or more points. Interior play will be critical, as Billy White (22 points) and Chase Barrs (19 points, eight rebounds, three blocks) dominated the paint for Windsor on April 4.
The Titans, boasting a superior record, have shown consistency, winning seven of their last ten. The Express have struggled for momentum, alternating wins and losses recently, but their latest performance proved they can challenge the league’s top teams.
Thursday’s result will finalize the head-to-head tiebreaker and could significantly impact seeding for the upcoming BSL playoffs. KW seeks to reassert its dominance, while Windsor aims to prove its recent win was a turning point, not an anomaly.
