QUEBRADILLAS, Puerto Rico (Interstat) — Grant Basile recorded 16 points and 12 rebounds to lead the Quebradillas Piratas to an 87-86 victory over the Ponce Leones on Friday night in a Baloncesto Superior Nacional game at Raymond Dalmau Coliseum.

Ponce outscored Quebradillas 26-23 in the fourth quarter but could not overcome a four-point deficit entering the final period. Jezreel De Jesus scored a game-high 25 points for Ponce, and Jalen Crutcher added 22 points. Brady Manek contributed 16 points and eight rebounds, while Christian Negron notched a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds.

Quebradillas led 40-39 at halftime and 64-60 after three quarters. Emmanuel Mudiay scored 22 points with five assists and four rebounds for the Piratas. Phillip Wheeler added 16 points and six rebounds, and Victor Liz chipped in 11 points and seven rebounds.

Ponce fell to 8-17, losing its third straight. Quebradillas improved to 6-16, snapping a two-game skid. The Piratas also won the previous meeting between the teams, 84-77 on May 8, and have taken two of three from Ponce this season.
