CAGUAS, Puerto Rico (Interstat) — The Caguas and Santurce Cangrejeros basketball teams will meet for the second time in three days on Thursday, with both squads looking to establish early momentum in the Puerto Rican BSN season.

The game, scheduled for April 2, 2026, at Caguas Arena, features a home side eager to build on a dramatic opening victory and a visiting team desperate to avoid an 0-2 start.

Caguas (1-0) enters with confidence after a nail-biting 99-98 overtime win against Ponce on March 28. Forward Louis King was instrumental in the victory, posting a double-double with 25 points and 11 rebounds in 38 minutes of action. Point guard Travis Trice added 23 points and seven assists.

Santurce (0-1) is looking to bounce back from a narrow 93-88 road loss to Guaynabo on March 27. In that contest, veteran guard Malik Beasley delivered a strong performance, scoring a game-high 29 points to go with six rebounds. Center Devon Collier nearly notched a double-double with 11 points and nine boards.

The teams just faced each other on Tuesday, March 31, in Santurce, with no result provided, making this quick rematch a critical early-season test. The schedule shows these rivals will meet again on April 15 in Caguas, adding a layer of immediate playoff positioning to this home-and-home series.

For Santurce, containing King while reigniting Beasley’s scoring punch will be paramount. Caguas will aim to leverage its home court and the momentum of its overtime triumph to hand the Cangrejeros a second straight defeat.

The game tips off at 7:30 p.m. AST Thursday. For Caguas, it is the second contest in a three-game homestand, while Santurce continues a challenging opening road stretch before hosting its home opener on April 12.
