Edmonton vs. Hamilton
BRAMPTON, Ontario (Interstat) — The Edmonton Stingers visit the Hamilton Honey Badgers on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, in a Canadian Elite Basketball League matchup at CAA Centre.
Edmonton (4-6 overall) enters the game coming off a 104-98 victory at Calgary on Sunday, snapping a four-game losing streak. The Stingers have struggled for consistency this season, with losses in six of their first 10 contests. Hamilton (5-4) has been more steady, though the Honey Badgers dropped their most recent game, a 93-87 home loss to Fraser Valley on Saturday. Prior to that, Hamilton had won four straight.
Wednesday’s game features two of the league’s top performers. Edmonton forward Dain Dainja has been a reliable force. In his last four outings, Dainja has averaged 23.8 points and 9.0 rebounds. He posted 27 points and seven rebounds in a 101-99 loss to Niagara on May 24, and recorded a 25-point, 14-rebound double-double in a 91-78 win over Fraser Valley on May 16.
Hamilton guard Sean East has been even more productive. Over his last six games, East has averaged 24.2 points, 5.0 rebounds and 8.5 assists. He erupted for 35 points, five rebounds and eight assists in the loss to Fraser Valley on May 30. Earlier in the month, East recorded back-to-back 12-assist games, including a 22-point, seven-rebound, 12-assist effort in a 91-72 win over Calgary on May 17.
The Honey Badgers will look to protect home court. CAA Centre has been a favorable venue for Hamilton, which has won three of its four home games this season. Edmonton, meanwhile, has split its four road games.
Following Wednesday’s contest, Hamilton travels to Niagara on Friday before a Wednesday matchup at Montreal. Edmonton heads to Montreal on Sunday for its next game.
