GUADALAJARA, Mexico (Interstat) — The Jal. Astros defeated the Tijuana Zonkeys 97-92 on Friday, May 8, 2026, at Unidad Deportiva Avila Camacho. Chris Perry led the Astros with 18 points and 10 rebounds, recording his second double-double in three games. Tijuana’s Zhuric Phelps posted 21 points and five assists. Jal. Astros improved to 58-10 across all competitions; the Zonkeys dropped to 16-17.

The Astros shot 39 of 74 from the field and 9 of 27 from three-point range, while Tijuana hit 32 of 71 shots and 10 of 30 from beyond the arc. Jal. Astros committed eight turnovers to Tijuana’s 10 and grabbed 10 offensive rebounds to the Zonkeys’ seven. Sindarius Thornwell added 17 points and six rebounds, and Trey Burke scored 16 points with four assists for the Astros.
