BRUSQUE, Brazil (Interstat) — Botafogo earned a hard-fought 82-75 win over Pato Basquete in a Brazilian NBB game Friday at Arena Brusque. Despite a 29-point fourth-quarter surge from Pato Basquete, Botafogo’s strong first-half performance provided enough cushion for the victory.

Matheus Brito led all scorers with 27 points for Botafogo. Tradavis Thompson scored 21 points for Pato Basquete, which fell to 1-5 on the season. Botafogo improved to 2-5. The outcome was an upset, as statistical models had heavily favored Pato Basquete to win.
