Fuerza Regia vs. Aguascalientes

AGUASCALIENTES, Mexico (Interstat) — The league-leading Fuerza Regia look to continue their dominance over the Aguascalientes Panteras as the Mexican LNBP rivals conclude a three-game series Monday at Hermanos Carreon.

Fuerza Regia (19-7), which holds a commanding 4.5-game lead in the standings, has won five of the last six meetings against the Panteras (15-14), including a 94-72 road victory on Saturday. Brandon Paul led the way with 17 points in that contest, with Lewis Sullivan adding 13 points and Josh Ibarra pulling down 11 rebounds.

The series, however, has seen a recent split on Aguascalientes’ home court. The Panteras snapped a five-game skid against Fuerza Regia with a 96-82 win last Friday, fueled by strong performances from Mus Barro and Tyler Cheese. Barro recorded a double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds in Saturday’s loss.

Aguascalientes has struggled for consistency, alternating wins and losses over its last six games. Fuerza Regia, meanwhile, has won seven of its last eight, establishing itself as the team to beat in the LNBP.

The Panteras will need another standout performance from their core, including Jaron Martin, to salvage a series split and improve their position in the playoff race.
