SAN PEDRO GARZA GARCIA, Mexico (Interstat) — The surging Fuerza Regia will look to continue their dominance over the visiting Panteras of Aguascalientes when the Mexican LNBP rivals meet Tuesday at Gimnasio Nuevo Leon.

Fuerza Regia (16-6) enters the contest with one of the league’s best records and has won both previous meetings against Aguascalientes (14-11) this season, including a 104-91 victory on Sept. 21. The home team has held the Panteras to an average of 71.5 points in their two prior matchups.

Aguascalientes arrives after an 82-75 road victory over Soles on Friday, led by a double-double from Erik Thomas (16 points, 10 rebounds). Steve Taylor added 13 points and Vinnie Shahid scored 17.

Fuerza Regia is coming off a strong 86-73 win against Zacatecas on Oct. 14, powered by 23-point performances from both Scott Bamforth, who recorded a double-double with 11 rebounds, and Avry Holmes, who also dished five assists.

The game is the first of three consecutive contests between the two clubs, with the series shifting to Aguascalientes for games on Friday and Saturday.
