CAMPINA GRANDE, Brazil (Interstat) — A surging Franca squad looks to continue its strong start when it visits a struggling Paraiba team in a Brazilian NBB matchup on Thursday.

Franca (7-3) enters the contest riding high after a dominant 103-61 victory over Vasco da Gama on Monday. Guard Mooch Jackson led the charge with 24 points, while forwards Lucas Dias Silva (22 points) and Rafael Mineiro (15 points) provided significant contributions. The team has shown a potent offense, scoring 90 or more points in six of its 10 games.

Paraiba (4-4), however, is looking to rebound from a tough 87-85 overtime loss to Sao Jose on Saturday. The home team has been inconsistent, alternating wins and losses over its last six contests. Forward Yohanner Sifontes, who posted 18 points and six rebounds in the last outing, will be a key player for Paraiba.

The game will be held at Unifacisa, where Paraiba holds a 2-2 record this season. Franca, the visiting team, boasts a 3-2 record in away games.

This is the first meeting between the two clubs this season. Franca will look to capitalize on its recent form, while Paraiba aims to defend its home court and get back to .500.
