FORTALEZA, Brazil (Interstat) — The Bauru basketball club looks to extend its winning streak when it visits the struggling Cearense in a Brazilian NBB matchup on Thursday.

The game will tip off at 7 p.m. local time at the Ginasio Municipal Paulo Sarasate.

Bauru (5-4) enters the contest with momentum, having won its last two games. The team is coming off a dominant 77-54 victory over Vasco da Gama on Saturday. Pedro Eduardo Infante Pereira led the way with 15 points and 5 rebounds, while center Andre Barbosa added a team-high 18 points and 7 rebounds in the win.

Conversely, Cearense (2-5) seeks to halt a four-game slide. Its most recent result was a narrow 82-79 road loss to Pato Basquete last Friday. In that game, center Aleksa Popovic was a bright spot, scoring 20 points and grabbing 7 rebounds.

The matchup presents a clear contrast in recent form. Bauru has found its rhythm after a slow start to the season, while Cearense has struggled since opening the year with two consecutive wins.

Following this game, Bauru will travel to face Minas on Sunday. Cearense will remain at home to host Franca on the same day.
