Botafogo vs. Corinthians

SAO PAULO (Interstat) — The struggling Botafogo (1-4) look to halt a three-game slide when they visit Corinthians (2-2) in a Brazilian NBB matchup on Monday at Ginasio Wlamir Marques.

Botafogo is coming off a 77-64 road loss to Sao Jose on Saturday, part of a difficult stretch where they have been outscored by an average of 19 points in their last three defeats. Their lone victory this season came on Oct. 22 against Vasco da Gama.

Corinthians aims to rebound on its home court after a lopsided 103-77 loss to Flamengo on Friday. Prior to that defeat, the team had won two straight, including an 81-64 victory over Vasco da Gama. Key performers in the Flamengo loss included Elinho Corazza, who dished 12 assists, and Victor Andre Camilo Da Silva, who scored a team-high 17 points.

The matchup pits Botafogo’s faltering form against a Corinthians squad seeking consistency. Botafogo will continue its road-heavy schedule after this game, while Corinthians will embark on a two-game road trip starting Wednesday at Cearense. The two teams are scheduled to meet again on Dec. 13 in Botafogo.
