CHIHUAHUA, Mexico (Interstat) — The Chihuahua Dorados look to build on a winning record when they host the struggling Fresnillo Gambusinos in a Mexican LNBP matchup on Thursday.

The game at Gimnasio Manuel Bernardo Aguirre pits two teams on different trajectories. The Dorados (10-8) are coming off a dominant 89-57 road victory over San Luis Potosi on Saturday, where Jose Estrada Stone (15 points), Akia Pruitt (16 points, 8 rebounds) and Charles Mitchell (15 points, 6 rebounds) led a balanced scoring attack.

The Gambusinos (5-13) snapped a five-game losing streak with a 104-85 home win against Irapuato on the same night. Point guard Brent Jackson was instrumental in the victory, pouring in 27 points in just 23 minutes of play. The win provided a rare bright spot for a team that has struggled for consistency.

Despite their poor overall record, the Gambusinos have shown recent signs of life, winning three of their last four games. The Dorados, meanwhile, have been strong on the road lately but will look to protect their home court.

The two teams will face each other again on Friday in Fresnillo, making this a critical home-and-home series for LNBP positioning.

Tip-off is scheduled for Thursday night.
