YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (Interstat) — The Youngstown State Penguins used a dominant third-quarter surge to pull away from the Detroit Titans and secure a 72-60 victory in a Horizon League women’s basketball game Wednesday night at Beeghly Center. Sophia Gregory, the reigning Horizon League Player of the Week, led all scorers with 20 points and added four blocks and three assists for the Penguins, who improved to 22-8 overall and solidified their position near the top of the conference standings.
