CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (Interstat) — Nate Sheppard ran for 147 yards and a touchdown and caught two touchdown passes to lead Duke to a come-from-behind 31-27 victory Saturday over Illinois in an NCAA Football Bowl Division game. The Blue Devils improved to 2-0, while the Fighting Illini fell to 1-1. The game was played at Illinois’ home field in Champaign, Illinois, on Saturday, Sept. 12, 2026.
