RICHMOND, Ky. (Interstat) — The Eastern Kentucky Colonels erupted for five runs in the seventh inning, capitalizing on a critical Illinois State error to overcome a late deficit and defeat the Redbirds 8-4 in college baseball Saturday at Turkey Hughes Field. A crowd of 250 saw the Colonels (4-11) snap a four-game skid and even the weekend series after dropping the opener Friday. Illinois State fell to 8-6.
