HOUSTON (Interstat) — The Rice Owls used a four-run outburst across the fifth and sixth innings to overcome an early deficit and defeat the Purdue Boilermakers 5-2 in nonconference baseball Wednesday at M.O. Campbell Center. The game, which began in the afternoon and concluded in the evening, saw the host Owls improve to 3-2 while Purdue fell to an even 2-2.
