BINGHAMTON, N.Y. -- Bryan Dougher hit a 3-pointer and Al Rapier converted a three-point play to key a decisive 10-1 run in the second half, and Stony Brook beat winless Binghamton 60-54 on Thursday night.

Dougher snapped a 43-all tie and Rapier's free throw after a driving layup gave the Seawolves a 53-44 lead with 4:22 left as Binghamton (0-14, 0-2 America East) went without a basket for nearly 8 minutes. It was the first road win of the season for Stony Brook (7-6, 2-0).

Tommy Brenton led Stony Brook with 17 points and Robert Mansell had 22 for Binghamton.

Mansell hit a 3-pointer and Chris Longoria hit two more from beyond the arc to give Binghamton a 41-39 edge with 12 minutes left.

The win snaps a nine-game Stony Brook losing streak to Binghamton.

Binghamton has lost 15 straight games dating back to last season.
