NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Interstat) — Michael Harpster delivered a dominant pitching performance, and the East Tennessee State offense provided ample support as the Buccaneers defeated the Belmont Bruins 8-4 in the first game of a doubleheader Saturday at Ken Dugan Field at Stephen Lee Marsh Stadium. Harpster, a right-hander, was nearly untouchable over 5 2/3 innings to earn the win. He did not allow a hit, struck out 10 batters and walked one.
